To “every day do something that won’t compute… say that the leaves are harvested when they have rotted into the mold.” The quarter acre I steward in Northeastern Pennsylvania is, I hope, an incarnation of this contradiction. Inspired by Wendell’s Manifesto, I wanted to instill the place with the contradiction embodied in his poem.
