The project involves using alternative feeds, like seaweed, for cows (reducing those methane burps), better manure management and growing more grass and feed crops using regenerative agriculture. Producer premiums for regenerative products have begun to pop up but, as Bande notes, the financing mechanism must be “way broader” than this.
