Essington Farm is situated amidst beautiful countryside with cattle and sheep grazing or resting under gnarled oak trees and well-maintained hedges along the narrow roads. There were always beef cattle, too, but Simkin liked working with the pigs. From the age of 14, he looked after a small group of pigs.
