Ujamaa’s mission is to cultivate and create agency for BIPOC farmers and give their communities easy access to the foods important to them. We’d like to take that further and look at the Indigenous seed-keeping skills and technologies that develop the ‘crops’ we have today. That’s an important part of our work.
