DLI stands for ‘Daily Light Integral’ and is defined as a measure of usable light your plant receives over the course of a day. Too high of DLI will not only cause unwanted light stress/burn but it is also a waste of electricity for which you are paying.

Something troubled me about this request: Why couldn’t he just save the questions for the live class? After all, the whole point of the live class was to bring (and ask) questions.

Students in the Bloomer School District are growing year-round with indoor hydroponic farms – Flex Farms. This innovative hands-on program is led by Ms. Rachel Haas, agricultural educator. Bloomer is located in the northwest part of Wisconsin where there is ample farmland and a strong farming community. Many students in the Bloomer School District are members of Future Farmers of America (FFA) and seek out careers in the agricultural industry.

Ag Secretary stresses benefits will reach from farmer to consumer U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and Ambassador Susan Rice, White House Domestic Policy Advisor, were in the Chippewa Valley Thursday promoting investments in regional meat processing. Farmers, media, and rural leaders gathered at Crescent Meats in Cadott to learn more about the Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program and the area’s designation as a Rural Partners Network community.
