I am writing this blog post on the morning of September 15 and happy to report I have all of my September 15 due-date returns done (other than a few that will be late due to client issues). Now that we know the final August 2022 inflation numbers we have a good idea of what the inflation adjusted amounts will be for all of the tax provisions that are adjusted annually.
After that September heatwave the temperatures dropped, and all of a sudden the slight hint of fall was in the air! Even though fall is coming soon, our local farmers are still harvesting summer goodies for all of us to enjoy. At Bluebird Farm they not only provide delicious veggies, they also have a colorful variety of flowers! We had the opportunity to chat with farmer Malaika about her passion for agriculture.

OSSEO – After a decade of dairy farming, Inga Witscher sold most of her 40-cow herd in 2016 after she – like so many Wisconsin dairy farmers – couldn’t make enough money to live on by selling milk.
Health experts are asking the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to require warning labels on sugary drinks and snacks. Other countries like Mexico, Ecuador and the UK already have such labels and an effort is underway to duplicate them here. “Excess calories” looking like a black stop sign adorn Coke bottles in Mexico. Apparently ingredient labels aren’t enough and more is needed for the plebes to make informed decisions.
