Many farms and feedlots have runoff, whether this is excess manure, pesticides and herbicides or fertilizers such as phosphorus and nitrogen, both implicated in climate change. Six more beavers were released, which went on to build their own dams and lodges. This created ponds deep enough for beavers in which to hide.
